Hi there!
I’m Jonathan, an aspiring entertainment, media, and technology professional.
About
I work at the intersection of media, technology, and entertainment — from documentary production to research on how AI is reshaping the media industries.
I’m a senior at UC Santa Barbara (Class of 2026), pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media Studies and a B.S. in Psychological and Brain Sciences, with a minor in Applied Psychology. I currently work as a Research Assistant at UCSB’s AI & Media Industries Research Initiative, where I track and analyze leading AI media companies and adoption trends across the ecosystem.
Before research, I spent the past few summers working on documentary and unscripted production — most recently as a Production Intern at Institute Pictures, and previously as a Development Intern at Citizen Jones. I’m also a subject and credited additional cinematographer in Lauren Greenfield’s Emmy-nominated docuseries Social Studies (FX/Hulu).
Honors student, Cumulative GPA: 3.92, recipient of the Duval Scholarship.
